Last Minute Thanksgiving Design Ideas
Thanksgiving is here and you want to decorate your table to get everybody in a festive mood. Instead of buying expensive decor why don’t you make the decorations yourself. We have some last minute ideas that are simple, fun and will keep your kids entertained.
Centerpieces
Apples are healthy, but they also make centerpieces. Cut a hole in the middle of your apple and simply place a taper candle in it. If you still have Halloween pumpkins left over, re-purpose them. Use them as a colorful centerpiece, just decorate them with colors based on your table settings. Gluing glitter and/or fall leaves to the pumpkins can also help transform them into perfect Thanksgiving decor. You could even use your carved out pumpkin as a vase. Just fill it with your favorite flowers and place the display on slabs of wood. If you have some extra corncobs sitting around, you could just dry those and paint them either metallic, or really any color you like, to make some impressive decorations. Have your kids collect some pine cones from your yard. Spraying them gold, silver or glitter will turn your pine cones into interesting centerpieces. You don’t even have to paint the entire pine cone, just painting the outside or tips will create a great ombre effect.
