These ideas are very easy and can be a fun project for the entire family.  You will have most of what you need for these simple, yet stylish decor ideas.

Ornaments

If you find out that you are short on ornaments, no worries, you can easily make some beautiful, seasonal ornaments that add color to your tree out of oranges.  Just cut four unpeeled oranges into rounds about 1/4 inch thick and bake on a greased cookie sheet at 175 degrees for 4 hours. To hang, simply put a hole near one edge with a needle and thread some double string or ribbon through to make a loop. You can also dress up your tree with shiny ornaments made out of foil. Turn cupcake liners inside out; stack, and then glue back-to-back; tie on yarn to hang. How about some gilded pine cones?  Spray them with,  or dip them into gold paint and voila – you have some sophisticated ornaments for your tree. You can also use them to decorate your dinner table. If you have any old sweaters that you don’t want anymore, cut them into whatever shapes you want and thread a piece of ribbon or wire through it to make a hook. These are some easy and colorful ornaments. An old ugly Christmas sweater would be a good one to use. You never have to wear it again and it has the right colors for the season.

Holiday  Garlands

Cupcake liners aren’t just good for baking. You can also use them to make a last-minute Christmas decorations. Simply round up your favorite patterns and colors, fold each in half and then staple them together for a garland. Recycle and give old greeting cards more anther chance to hang by making a garland of disks cut from them.  Use a circle punch or trace a round object and cut out to make disks from the old cards. Attach the circles to a heavy thread with stickers; to make sure they’re secure.

Dinner Table Decor

Just a few simple pieces can spruce up your Christmas diner table. Make some unique center pieces by wrapping sparkly holiday bracelets  around Mason jar rims. Fill each with water, then top with tea lights. Nothing brings back Christmas childhood memories like a snow globe. Just make your own. Fill some jars with Holiday trinkets or even ornaments and then  sprinkle a little faux snow, or even sea salt into each. Simply  top it with ribbons, lace or a bow and another piece of unique Christmas decoration is finished. To make sure you guests know their place at your table make some peppermint-candy place cards. Cut out 3-inch ovals from dark red or other colorful card stock. Punch hole at each end, and then neatly write your guests’ names on the ovals with black ink. Thread white (or any other color) ribbon scraps, each about 6 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide, through the backs of the place cards. Notch the ribbon ends to make the cards look like a piece of hard candy before putting them on the place settings.
