Get Your Kitchen Ready For The Carnival Season
The Carnival season is finally here! This is a fun time in New Orleans. However, all the parties, balls and parades can get exhausting. You will probably be hosting at least one or two Carnival parties, especially if you live on or near a parade route. Some of your friends might even stop by unannounced to catch a couple of parades this Carnival season. Mardi Gras Day is February 25th this year. The time to get ready for the craziness that is about to happen is right now. Get your party supplies including, paper plates, napkins and snacks as soon as possible. Make sure your bar is stocked properly. They say one bottle of wine holds 4-5 glasses of wine, so get 1 bottle for 2 guests who are wine drinkers. When it comes to hard liquor, you will get about 25 drink out of a 1 liter bottle. Make sure to get plenty of mixers such as cranberry juice, soft drinks, lemons, and limes. You never know when your kitchen will be the venue for an impromptu party. Most likely you will have enough cups from past years parades.
